This Privacy Policy applies when you visit Chanjify.com, use a tool, select a language, follow a social link, or contact us. “Chanjify,” “we,” “our,” and “the service” refer to this website and its first-party routes. A third-party website you visit has its own privacy terms.
Information covered by this policy
The information depends on what you do. It may include a file you select; conversion, compression, editing, comparison, or signing options; request information such as IP address, browser, device, URL, time, status, and transfer size; a translation preference; and information in an email. Chanjify does not require an account, profile, password, payment card, or conversion history.
A file can contain personal or confidential information even when its filename looks harmless. Documents may include names, signatures, comments, hidden properties, tracked changes, location metadata, workbook formulas, embedded images, or other records. You decide which files to submit and remain responsible for having authority to process them.
Browser-processed tools
Many PDF editing and organization tools, PDF-and-image workflows, spreadsheet converters, document and text converters, SVG compression, and PDF compression operate in your browser’s memory after the application code has loaded. For these tools, the selected file is not intentionally sent to Chanjify’s file-processing endpoint or to an external conversion vendor. The browser reads the file, performs the requested operation, and creates an object URL or in-memory result for download.
The working state normally remains available only while the relevant page is open. Refreshing, navigating away, or closing the tab clears the visible selection, and temporary object URLs are released by the application. Your browser, operating system, extensions, device-management software, backups, or downloaded-file history may keep their own records; those systems are outside Chanjify’s control.
First-party server processing
Image format conversion and raster image compression use Chanjify’s own Next.js application routes with Sharp. Office-package compression for DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, and ODS also uses a first-party in-memory route. When you use one of these tools, the chosen file and settings travel over the network to the application server, where the input is validated, bounded, processed in memory, checked again, and returned in the response.
The current implementation does not intentionally write those files to a public directory, upload folder, conversion-history database, or third-party file-conversion API. “In memory” is not the same as “never touches infrastructure”: hosting, networking, security, and operating-system layers necessarily handle the request while delivering the service. Do not use exceptionally sensitive or regulated files unless this processing path is approved for your situation.
Technical, security, and hosting data
Web hosting and network infrastructure may process standard logs needed to deliver pages, defend the service, diagnose failures, manage capacity, and investigate abuse. These logs can include an IP address, user-agent string, referring page, request time, URL, status code, and response size. Chanjify does not use those records to create a personal conversion library or advertising profile. Hosting and network providers may keep operational or security logs under their own documented practices and legal obligations.
We use measures such as file-type validation, size limits, bounded ZIP inspection, output verification, security headers, and memory-focused processing. No website, browser, network, or storage system can promise absolute security. Keep a backup, use a trusted device and connection, and avoid a file when unauthorized disclosure would be unacceptable.
Google Translate and language selection
The navigation language menu uses Google Translate. Google resources load in the browser so the selected language can be applied to the visible page. As a result, Google can receive technical information associated with that request, such as your IP address, browser or device information, date and time, and referring URL. Google’s handling of that information is governed by its own Privacy Policy, not by Chanjify alone.
Selecting a non-English language creates the functional googtrans preference used by the translation widget. Chanjify is designed to return to English on a fresh page load and clears its accessible translation preference during initialization. Translation may still be affected by browser settings or Google-controlled storage. See the Cookies Policy for the current storage inventory and control options.
Contact email and social links
If you email Feedback@chanjify.com, the message can include your email address, name, attachments, technical details, and any other information you choose to provide. We use it to understand and respond to the request, investigate a reproducible issue, protect the service, or maintain a necessary correspondence record. Do not email a confidential source file unless you are authorized to share it and it is genuinely required for support.
The Facebook and YouTube icons in the footer are ordinary outbound links, not embedded feeds or tracking pixels. Chanjify does not contact those platforms merely because the icons are visible. If you click a link, your browser requests the destination and the destination platform applies its own privacy and cookie terms.
Purposes and legal grounds
We process information to provide the tool or page you requested, return a generated file, apply a selected language, answer support, maintain security, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and improve reliability through technical diagnosis. Depending on the law that applies, these activities may rely on performing a service you requested, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the site, consent for an optional feature, or compliance with a legal obligation. We do not claim a legal ground that is not appropriate to the actual activity.
Disclosure and processors
Chanjify does not sell personal information and does not use selected files for advertising. Information may be handled by infrastructure providers that host or deliver the site, by Google when the translation feature loads or is used, by an email provider when you contact us, or by authorities and advisers when disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights, investigate abuse, or defend a claim. Providers are expected to handle data for their relevant function, but their own terms may also apply.
Retention and deletion
Browser working files are not placed in a Chanjify account because no account exists. First-party server routes are designed to return processed output without intentionally creating a persistent file archive. Ordinary infrastructure logs and support email are different: they may be retained for security, troubleshooting, continuity, recordkeeping, or legal needs, and their exact period can depend on the provider, the event, and applicable law. We aim not to keep information longer than reasonably needed for its stated purpose.
Raster compression removes metadata by default because EXIF location, camera details, thumbnails, profiles, and author records can add bytes or reveal information. A visible option permits metadata retention when a workflow needs it. Other tools may preserve document properties or embedded records because they are part of the source format, so inspect the output before sharing it.
International processing
Internet providers may process requests in countries other than your own, where data-protection rules can differ. Where law requires a transfer safeguard, the responsible provider or operator should use an appropriate measure. If a location restriction applies, use a browser-local tool where suitable or wait until your organization approves the route.
Your privacy choices and rights
You can choose not to select a file, use only a browser-local workflow, avoid the translation menu, block or clear browser storage, avoid outbound social links, and remove sensitive metadata before processing. Blocking Google resources can prevent translation while leaving the English site and file tools available. Your browser also lets you remove the googtrans cookie.
Depending on where you live and whether a particular law applies, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, information about disclosures, or withdrawal of consent, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Some rights have exceptions, and Chanjify may need enough information to verify and locate the relevant record. Because there are no user accounts or personal conversion histories, we may have little or no account-linked information to retrieve.
Children and changes to this policy
Chanjify is a general file utility and is not directed to children who cannot lawfully consent to online data processing in their location. Do not submit a child’s personal information without appropriate authority. If you believe such information was provided in a support message or persistent record, contact us with enough detail to investigate without sending additional sensitive material.
We may update this policy when the tools, providers, processing routes, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version. A material product change should be reflected in the explanation rather than hidden behind generic wording.
