General information, not professional advice
Chanjify explains formats and file operations in general terms. The website does not provide legal, financial, tax, medical, engineering, records-management, cybersecurity, accessibility-certification, archival, or other regulated professional advice. A guide cannot evaluate your contract, filing rule, retention schedule, evidence requirement, medical duty, accessibility obligation, or organization-specific policy.
If the consequence of an error could be serious, obtain review from a qualified person and use a system approved for that purpose. Using the service does not create a professional-client, fiduciary, certification, audit, or compliance relationship.
Always preserve and inspect the source
Keep the original file and a separate backup until the result has been opened and checked in its real destination. Do not overwrite the only source copy. Inspect important pages, text, images, formulas, totals, links, fields, colors, dimensions, metadata, signatures, and print output. A browser preview is not a substitute for testing with the application, device, printer, content system, archive, or recipient that will actually use the file.
A tool can complete correctly and still produce an unsuitable result because the source is damaged, password-protected, unusually encoded, extremely large, dependent on a missing font, or built with a feature the destination format cannot represent. File extensions can also be wrong. Chanjify validates inputs where practical, but no validator can guarantee that every future consumer will interpret a file identically.
Conversion changes information
Formats are not interchangeable containers. JPG cannot preserve transparent pixels. Plain text cannot preserve rich layout. A spreadsheet converted to CSV loses workbook structure and typically retains only one table at a time. HTML and DOCX use different layout models. PDF pages can combine vector text, raster images, forms, annotations, fonts, page boxes, and scripts. Moving between formats may flatten, omit, approximate, reorder, or reinterpret those features.
Changing an extension is not conversion, and Chanjify does not represent it as one. Even a genuine conversion cannot restore source detail that never existed. Increasing image dimensions does not create native resolution; converting a scan to PDF does not create searchable text; and raising a JPEG quality setting cannot reconstruct pixels already damaged by earlier compression.
Image conversion and color
Image output can differ because of alpha handling, color profiles, bit depth, orientation metadata, animation, multiple frames, chroma subsampling, encoder decisions, and application support. A transparent source converted to JPG needs a solid background. SVG rasterization turns scalable geometry into a fixed pixel grid. TIFF, HEIC, AVIF, WebP, and other formats can contain features that a focused single-image workflow does not preserve.
Inspect logos, fine text, gradients, transparent edges, skin tones, saturated colors, and print-critical assets. A visually acceptable browser result may render differently in another color-managed application or printing system.
Compression trade-offs
Lossy compression deliberately changes image information. Stronger settings can soften detail, add ringing, reduce color precision, or create banding. Recompressing an already lossy file can compound damage. Lossless compression may produce little or no saving, especially when the source is already optimized, noisy, encrypted, or dominated by data the selected method cannot reduce.
Chanjify may return an honest “already optimized” result rather than offer a larger file as a success. File-size reduction does not prove visual equivalence, and visual similarity does not prove that metadata or specialist features were preserved. Keep a high-quality master for later regeneration.
PDF organization and editing limits
Merging, splitting, extracting, removing, rotating, numbering, watermarking, or cropping PDF pages can affect outlines, destinations, page labels, form behavior, signatures, annotations, attachments, scripts, accessibility tags, and incremental-update history. A resulting PDF may open normally while a specialist feature has changed. Encrypted, malformed, unusually large, XFA-only, certified, or rights-managed PDFs may be unsupported.
Cropping changes the visible page box. It should never be treated as secure redaction because hidden text, objects, metadata, or content outside the visible crop can remain recoverable. For confidential redaction, use a purpose-built workflow that removes the underlying information and verify the sanitized result independently.
Electronic signature appearance
Sign PDF places a visible electronic signature appearance into a document. It does not issue a certificate, create a cryptographic digital signature, validate identity, prove intent, preserve a qualified timestamp, or determine whether a signature satisfies the law, contract, regulator, court, or recipient involved. A drawn or typed appearance can be useful for an agreed workflow, but its legal effect depends on facts outside this tool.
Do not use the result to misrepresent another person’s authorization. For certificate-backed, regulated, witnessed, or identity-verified signing, use an appropriate trusted provider and retain the required audit evidence.
Visual PDF comparison
Compare PDF renders pages and detects pixel differences. It does not reconstruct tracked changes, interpret meaning, identify every textual edit, compare hidden metadata, determine plagiarism, or decide whether two documents are legally or semantically equivalent. Font substitution, anti-aliasing, renderer versions, page rasterization, and small layout shifts can create visible differences without changing the words.
The opposite risk also exists: content can have important semantic or metadata differences that do not create an obvious rendered pixel change. Use source-aware review, text comparison, document history, or legal review when meaning matters.
Forms, scans, and OCR
Fill PDF Forms targets standard AcroForm fields. It does not claim full support for XFA-only forms, every calculation script, every validation rule, or every viewer-specific behavior. Test the completed form in the required viewer and confirm that values remain visible when printed or flattened according to the recipient’s rules.
Scan to PDF arranges image files as PDF pages. It does not perform optical character recognition, correct factual content, authenticate a scan, remove background information, or make photographed text searchable. Image quality, perspective, lighting, cropping, and resolution determine readability.
Spreadsheet and data conversion
Spreadsheet conversions can change formulas, cached values, date interpretation, decimal separators, character encoding, leading zeros, cell types, merged cells, hidden sheets, charts, macros, validation, styles, and workbook relationships. CSV and TSV do not preserve workbook formulas, formatting, multiple sheets, or rich cell objects. HTML tables may not express every spreadsheet feature.
Check row and column counts, headers, totals, identifiers, date zones, formulas, and decimal precision before importing a result into payroll, accounting, inventory, scientific, or production systems. A syntactically valid file can still contain an incorrect interpretation of the source data.
Document and text conversion
DOCX to HTML aims for useful semantic headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, and links rather than pixel-perfect Microsoft Word layout. HTML to document formats must approximate web styling in a different layout engine. Markdown parsers can interpret extensions differently, and plain-text output necessarily drops rich formatting. Embedded fonts, comments, tracked revisions, floating objects, headers, footers, fields, and page-break behavior may change or disappear.
Privacy and security limitations
Many tools process files in browser memory, while image operations and certain office compression tasks use first-party server routes. The Privacy Policy explains those paths. In-memory processing reduces intentional persistence but does not make a device, network, browser, extension, hosting layer, or operating system immune from compromise. Do not process highly sensitive information on an untrusted device or network.
Metadata removal is not a complete anonymity guarantee. Visible content, filenames, document text, unique patterns, embedded objects, or downstream logs can still identify a person or organization. Likewise, password protection or encryption status can change whether a file is supported.
Translation and external links
Website translation is provided through Google Translate and can contain inaccurate, incomplete, awkward, or contextually wrong wording. The English page is the product’s source text. Do not rely on machine-translated legal, safety, compliance, or technical wording without qualified human review. Google applies its own service and privacy terms.
Facebook and YouTube icons are external links. Chanjify does not control the destination’s availability, content, advertising, accessibility, cookies, account requirements, or security. A link is provided for convenience and does not guarantee every third-party statement.
Availability and no guarantee
Tools can be unavailable, delayed, limited, or changed because of maintenance, browser differences, dependency updates, network conditions, security controls, or unsupported files. Chanjify does not guarantee uninterrupted access, recovery of a failed operation, compatibility with every future format variation, or retention of a tool in its present form.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, use is at your own risk and the service is provided without a promise of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or error-free operation. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
